DEVYNE STEPHENS ACADEMY
Devyne Stephens Academy (DSA) is an Accredited Performing Arts Private School that takes a holistic approach to education. We are Accredited With Quality through the Georgia Accrediting Commission which is the highest level of accreditation.

At DSA, academics are the priority with an emphasis on cultivating creativity, athletics, and student life to develop well-rounded scholars. That is why we are actively developing and improving our specialized training and programs in performing arts – which include music, dance, visual arts, theatrical arts, competitive sports and robotics.

Our programs are designed to work with grades K-12. DSA scholars are placed in a small group setting which enables them to matriculate through the academic process at his/her own pace. We offer an individualized therapeutic curriculum that meets the individual needs of each scholar.

Eligible scholars participate in supervised activities on and off campus such as live performances, sporting events, youth dances, field trips and other local community activities.

Devyne Stephens, who many refer to as the Berry Gordy of this generation, is the taciturn founding father of Atlanta’s mega success on the music landscape.
Stephens, a renowned choreographer, artist development and imaging expert has worked with some of the most successful artists in the world from Toni Braxton, Pink, TLC, Outcast, Usher, Ciara, Mary J Blige, Destiny's Child, Gwen Stefani, Boyz II Men, Akon, Lady Gaga, P. Diddy and Jay Z to name a few.
This native Atlantan with roots deep in the community, has always had a passion for giving back. Whether it was giving a sizeable donation to Children’s Healthcare at Hughes Spalding or his Annual Holiday Toy Drive; his goal has remained focused on meeting the needs of At-Risk youth in the community through education while planting seeds through creative arts and entertainment.
As an entrepreneur, Mr. Stephens is the Founder and CEO of Devyne Intervention, a 501(c)3 organization that provides resources to children and families who are less fortunate; and Upfront Megatainment, an entertainment company.

Jewell Hunter is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Devyne Stephens Academy. She brings over 25 years of experience in education specializing in curriculum development, instructional teaching, staff development and training; and consulting. She is highly skilled in providing emotional, social, physical and academic support for the growth and development of at-risk and underserved scholars.
Mrs. Hunter received her Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Kennesaw State University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Clark Atlanta University, AP certifications in Language and Literature; she is GACE certified in Educational Leadership and K-12 English. Additionally, she has served as an adjunct professor, a lead teacher, a high school teacher and an educational trainer.
As an entrepreneur, Mrs. Hunter is the Founder and Director of Camp Jewell House Academy; a K-12 accredited private school located in the Atlanta Metro Area.

We believe that developing well-rounded scholars will position them to have a better quality of life. Therefore, we promote participation in student life activities like Performing Arts, Athletics, and STEAM Leadership to produce a well rounded scholar.
